Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has rejected criticism for his performances against top clubs in the Premier League, saying his performance should not be judged solely on goals and assists. The Portuguese international made an excellent impression after his transfer from Sporting Lisbon last year. He recorded 34 goals and 21 finishing passes in all competitions. Fernandes has scored just once in seven league games against Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea this season.
`I don`t know what the people under the `six best` mean, because that must be the top six in the table. I scored and assisted against some of them. I scored this season against Tottenham. But some people say that penalties don`t count!
I know people expect Bruno to score or assist in every game. I want to do it. But as a player, I`m not looking for the big six or the rest of the league. I look for every match from fixedmatches in the same way.
