Toto Wolff praised Mercedes for engines that can withstand the bouncing of the car.

Galloping proved to be a major problem for the team early in the season. At the same time, German power plants have become the most reliable in the peloton. Mercedes` only major problem came at the final analyzed by fixedmatches Abu Dhabi Grand Prix when Lewis Hamilton ended the race early.

At the beginning of the season, there were difficulties with the power plant. We did not like some aspects regarding the release of energy and controllability of the power plant. Despite the development freeze, you and your team were able to increase efficiency and cope with a difficult environment - a jumping car broke the engine.

Nevertheless, we turned out to be super reliable, the engine showed itself very well by the middle and end of the season, - said the chief executive of Mercedes, referring to the head of the engine division Hyvel Thomas.

Thomas also commented on the difficulties:

It became obvious that the engines got a lot, their lower part. When [Wolff] came to Brixworth last week and looked at the details of the motors, they caused a surprise - you could see the force of impacts on the ground.

Lewis and George [Russell] didn`t feel very comfortable getting out of the cars, and the same can be said about the power plants.
